A former composition major at the University of Hawaii, Benny is the recipient of 8 Grammy Awards and 3 Latin Grammy for his performances on the Santana albums Supernatural and Shaman, playing on the hit songs Smooth, Game of Love and more platinum hits.
The multi-talented Benny has also scored films, including Brooklyn Rules (starring Alec Baldwin), written multimedia music for video gaming publications, released a solo CD entitled Mystery of Faith, appeared in the 80s cult film Krush Groove and on the hit TV series Breaking Bad, and is a part-time writer on staff of the Herald De Paris.
