Magnus Organ

  • Regular price $15.00

tep back into a time when spaceships looked like rockets, cars had fins, and the sound of the future came from a small Magnus Reed Organ. Built from Bakelite — the “plastic of the future” — this compact instrument used a fan to push air across reeds, creating a warm, breathy tone that feels like a big brown hug.

To give you more flexibility, we’ve included samples from two eras of Magnus organs:

  • The original 1950s Bakelite Magnus, with its tiny keys and rich, lo-fi charm.

  • A bold 1970s red plastic Magnus, a full-sized upgrade that looks like it was built from Lego.

Blend the two using intuitive controls: roll off highs with Tone, add tube-style grit with Electrify, or shape dynamics with Attack and Release (complete with modeled pitch fall-off). On the back panel, classic Chorus and Phaser effects let you dial in lush pads, while the cheeky Stereo-Rama switch widens the sound field for immersive play.

The result? A library capable of everything from cushy pads and warm chords to quirky, lo-fi organ textures and ethereal soundscapes. It’s vintage warmth reborn for modern production.

Requirements:
All Rhythmic Robot Kontakt instruments require a full version of Native Instruments Kontakt v4.2.3 or higher (including all versions of Kontakt 5). Kontakt Player is not supported — instruments will load but time out after 15 minutes.
