A roaring ’20s classic for Kontakt full version.
Built in the 1920s, the Tom Thumb Piano is a small but powerful acoustic upright with only 67 keys — perfect for the gigging musicians of the speakeasy era. Popular in speakeasies, brothels, restaurants, and movie theaters, these pianos delivered everything from sentimental ballads to brash, lively tunes that defined the Roaring ’20s.
Designed for portability, Tom Thumb pianos could be moved from table to table in restaurants or taken to gigs with ease. Legendary bandleader Eddie Duchene performed on one at the Tavern On The Green in NYC, while Irving Berlin and his wife played one at the Club Holland in Soho (now the West Village).
Very similar to the piano featured in Casablanca, this charming instrument conjures the sound and spirit of a bygone era.
