WaveCrest

  • Regular price $35.00

WaveCrest continues our love affair with the gritty digital sheen of early digisynths, this time drawing inspiration from the grainy warmth of the Ensoniq SQ-80. But instead of a traditional 3-oscillator setup, WaveCrest goes off-script with a six-oscillator cyclical engine plus an attack layer, creating pads and textures that constantly evolve.

Unique Sound Architecture

  • Six cyclical oscillators with phase-adjusted LFOs for shifting timbres

  • 54 waveforms arranged from warm/mellow to bright/metallic

  • Sweep Rate control (10s–1s) to set evolving speed

  • 12 attack samples (flute chiff, string bow, guitar pluck, etc.) for added character

  • Glitch button for instant, musically useful random patches

You can sculpt patches with subtle shimmer or dramatic tonal variation by choosing waves close together or at opposite ends of the scale.

Tone Shaping & Effects

Once your waveform cycles are moving, shape them with:

  • 2- or 4-pole Low-Pass Filter + dedicated High-Pass Filter

  • Multiple LFOs for modulation

  • Overload Circuit for analog-style warmth

  • Grain control to reduce bit depth/sample rate for digital grunge

  • Convolved Lexicon digital reverb for authentic 80s gloss

  • Built-in FX: Chorus, Phaser, Delay, Reverb

The Sound

WaveCrest excels at digital pads and evolving soundscapes that recall the textures of early Peter Gabriel albums. It’s equally suited to ambient drones, cinematic layers, or impressionistic percussive tones thanks to the attack waves. Whether you need subtle movement or bold metallic sweeps, WaveCrest delivers.
